The European Alliance for Innovation (EAI), the largest European professional society in information sciences and engineering, is searching for a Publications Associate to support its publications activities. In partnership with Springer Nature, EAI publishes scientific journals, books, and international conference proceedings, its publications are included in leading indexes and in the European Union Digital Library (EUDL). EAI is seeking a professional who is looking for an opportunity to contribute to the further development of high quality research portfolio.

Who are they looking for:
Specific job responsibilities will include:
- review and validate incoming academic submissions for quality, formatting, and completeness;
- screen content for plagiarism and compliance with editorial guidelines;
- coordinate communication with authors to resolve submission issues and ensure readiness for publication;
- manage the end-to-end publication process for journals, books, and proceedings;
- liaise with editors, reviewers, and global contributors across multiple projects;
- maintain accurate records of content and workflows across systems;
- collaborate with publishing partners like Springer Nature;
- assist in launching and growing new publications or conference series;
- identify opportunities to improve publication workflows or expand publishing reach;
- support outreach efforts for new partners, conferences, or publishing collaborations;
- contribute to business development conversations related to external events and
strategic content initiatives.
Candidates with specific experience or knowledge of academic publishing will be given priority.
Requirements for the employee:
- university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Humanities, Linguistics, Social Sciences, or related fields;
- excellent English (C1 level); other languages are a plus;
- strong attention to detail and high-quality standards for academic work;
- proactive mindset and strong organizational skills;
- confidence to work independently and take initiative;
- interest in both the editorial side and the strategic, growth-oriented aspects of publishin;
- skilled with Microsoft Word and Excel.
